One of the ways we move out towards others isn’t simply with our time and energy it is also by the stewarding of our resources in a way that brings life to others...especially those on the margins of society.

This year we get to something really fun as we practice stewarding resources in a kingdom oriented way

Many of you know the island is home PSIS217, but few of you know about the Child and Legacy school, two of the most effective special needs schools in all of New York City which are housed right here on Roosevelt Island.

Well...this is where you come in.

Some of you remember summer celebration (we had hundreds of people from around the island)

This year we instead host a Hope back to school event where we want to celebrate the new school season with fun, food, dunk tanks etc, but also champion, support, and resource our local special needs schools that are caring for some of the cities most marginalized children at the same time.

Our aim is to raise $10,000 over the next 3 weeks as a church to help not only host this big neighborhood wide event, but also to give a substantial financial gift for school supplies, and after schools sports programs for children from the city that are living with cognitive and physical disability.
